A Refreshing Perspective
As you might have guessed by this Blog and my IG, FB & Foursquare social media accounts, I love taking photos. Almost as much as I love taking them, I love sharing them. From every move that Jacob makes to every bite that I take, I capture it all. I know…I know, it’s annoying but it’s who I am and that’s not changing any time soon even after “the talk.”
A few months ago, Jacob sat me down and as serious as a 9 year-old can get, pleaded that I stop taking pictures of him while he’s not looking & posting them without first, getting his approval. All I can say is, Like Father Like Son! That, and having to always be the one behind the camera…often a pain in the butt for someone who’ll go to great lengths to capture the perfect moment, got me thinking that maybe it was time to seek professional help.
So imagine my surprise and excitement when we bid and won a photography session at Jacob’s school auction. The photo session was with photographer Rachel Utain-Evans and promised a few hours of Family photo fun and 4 high def photos of our choosing. Having had one other less than favorable professional photo experience, I had low expectations but excited at the prospect of being in front of the camera with my boys, contacted Rachel immediately. After a few emails and phone calls, we agreed on a theme, date and location and on an unexpectedly beautiful sunny Fall day, met at Rittenhouse Square for our photo shoot.
Well, you be the judge but all I can say is WOW! Thank you Rachel for your patience, professionalism and gorgeous Family photos. See below for highlights from our album, check out her website and call her especially, if you’re tired of always being the one stuck behind the camera!
FABULOUS FAMILY OF THREE IN RITTENHOUSE, PHILADELPHIA PA FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER
It’s true, a lot of my clients come to me looking for a photographer to capture their children while they’re still very little babies and toddlers. But the photo-worthy memories don’t stop once they learn how to talk and do algebra! Honestly, I did joke about shaking my keys at Jacob to make him smile, but there was never a need for my usual tricks to get this family to relax and enjoy themselves. These three were so much fun, and clearly have such an amazing love for each other. We started with a little scooter riding, some vogue-ing by the Lion, had a leaf fight, and lots of bunny ears and laughs. No doubt about it, Alya is one lucky mama, with two amazing guys to lift her up
