1000 Places To See Before You Die
As a travel junkie, the book “1000 Places To See Before You Die” has become my compass.
Now that we’re setting sail to Germany and the Netherlands, I’m once again directed back to it for guidance and inspiration.
While over the years I’ve created my own list which includes visiting all UNESCO World Heritage sites (is that even possible in one lifetime?), I’ve also made it my life’s goal to see, eat, sleep in all of the places that Schultzs, the author of 1000 Places, writes about. Here is what’s on the Amsterdam and Berlin hit list and would love your thoughts and recommendations specific to these 2 destinations!
AMSTERDAM
-Anne Frank House
-Cafe Society
-Canal Cruised and Tulip Time (Amsterdam and Lisse)
-Oude Kerk
-Pulitzer Hotel
-Red Light District (-;
-Rijksmuseum
-Van Gogh Museum
-Kroller-Muller Museum (Apeldoorn)
-Delft
-Het Mauritshuis (The Hague)
-North Sea Jazz Festival (Rotterdam); will be there just in time for this!!!
-Manoir Inter Scaldes (Kruiningen)
BERLIN
-Berlin Philharmonic
-Brandenburg Gate
-The Museum Scene
Whew, that seems like a lot to cover in 10 days but I’m pretty sure that we can do it and more!!!
