You’re Only As Good As Your Last Success
If this is true than right now, I’m pretty, pretty, pretty good!
Wednesday night we took over the brand new Japanese speakeasy Double Knot and by the feedback that I continue to receive, the event was a huge success!
There was a lot riding on this party as we set out to create a unique experience that our clients have never had and wouldn’t soon forget.
First order of business was to select the perfect venue and when I got my exclusive Double Knot walkthrough a few weeks ago, I knew that I had found the place!
The February timing was ideal for our Valentine’s Day theme, ‘Love & Appreciation’ and so every detail from invite to decor to favors revolved around it.
Weeks of planning and finally it was go time! I think that as with any event, the first half hour is the most nerve-wracking. You know, when you’re ready to receive guests but none are there to be received. Lucky, our invites…yes, multiple, and grassroot recruitment efforts were so compelling that, within the hour, the restaurant was abuzz.
There was food everywhere. In the center of the lower level dining area, butlered throughout and, tucked away by the selfie station 😉
Well it was more of a modern day Photo Booth but we’re young, hip, innovative AND fancy so it was a ‘Selfie Station’!
Don’t like your picture taken? How about your palm read? Jules, the quirky fortune teller was on hand with crystal ball, crystals and all and even stumped this skeptic with his psychic powers. Yup, Jules is a man and a very touchy one at that!
The night naturally wouldn’t be complete or, as fun without a signature cocktail. Ours was the delectable and pretty Two Lovers Knot…
Then there was the Double Knot, a riff on the Manhattan but with double the ingredients and the drama…
Fresh fruit and flowers…
And even purple macarons, french heart shaped chocolates and selfie sticks.
Looking back on the night, all that I can say is that it was good, really, really good and, I’m ready to do it all over again!
Who’s with me?
