Winter Is Depressing!

Flowers!
Flowers are happy and, in my opinion, the best way to brighten up a cold dreary day space!
I was so inspired by this arrangement of roses and hydrangeas from my party Wednesday night that I finally tackled the dreaded desk project.

In the summer, I tend to only buy white flowers; orchids, hydrangeas and roses are my favorite.  They somehow feel lighter and more appropriate for hot summer days.

In the winter however, I love bold, vibrant colors.  Against a gray skyline, they feel warmer and remind me of summer and who couldn’t use that when it’s below 0° outside!?

Now I don’t have a middle name but if I had to chose one, it would have to be Merchandise.
Hmmm, AMS, I kinda like the sound of that ?
I just love arranging objects to create beautiful and interesting points of interest and, while I don’t always have fresh flowers around the house, I’m never ever without candles.  Their sights and smells seduce and calm me and right now, I’m obsessed with Voluspa’s Baltic Amber.  It’s the perfect combination of sandlewood and cedar and lasts over 100hrs which is perfect cause I light up every night!  Plus, they’re sold at Anthropologie and I’ll use any excuse to shop there.
So, after hours of cleaning, purging and merchandising, even Cleo approves my new home office!
