The 12-story boutique hotel is in the heart of Midtown and a few blocks from the NY office where I work and so when I expressed the desire for a mid-day coffee fix, a fellow coffee connoisseur suggested I try Stumptown Coffee Roaster.
This very retro too-cool-for-school coffee shop is located in the lobby of the Ace Hotel and had a line 20 people deep when we arrived.
20 Minutes later I was indulging in a latte that was too pretty to drink…

and a caramelized coffee cake that was too delicious to put down…

Note to self and all of you, next time in New York
