Partying Like It’s 2005
Can’t believe my baby is 10!
You blink and 10 years just like that…
I want to say that I remember each and every word, expression, laugh, stage but I would be lying if I did. All I can say is that I enjoyed and took in each and every moment like it was the last one. Yet, I still stop and wonder…
Did I…do I kiss him enough?
Did I…do I, spend enough time with him?
My baby is 10, I’ll say it over and over again until I can fully process it.
He is all I had hoped he would be.
Smart
Empathetic
Loving
Handsome
Giving
Confident and
Bossy 🙂 yes, wonder where he gets that from!?
Most of all, he is my heart and what my heart wants, my heart gets!
All Jacob wanted for his 10th Birthday was for a few friends to sleep over. So, that is what he got and…a little bit more!
Ever since he was super little, he has been fascinated by limos, and when he would see one would say, “Someone fancy must be in there!”
So, we decided to surprise him and got a limo to drive him and his friends around for a day of fun.
Needless to say, the kids had a blast riding around like Rock Stars!
First stop, the Ultrazone in Bensalem for a few games of laser tag…
and a lot of candy!
Next, back in the limo…
For a ride around town, hopping in and out enjoying the beautiful spring day and historic Philadelphia sites…
Tired and hungry, finally home for the main event and the first of many feedings.
Made all of the boys these personalized popcorn tubs full of sleepover goodies like flashlights, glow sticks, tooth brushes, popcorn, hot cocoa and candy…lots of candy.
Ice Cream Birthday Cake made that much sweeter with Jacob’s BFF…
I’m going to say that the sleepover was a great success and I, for one, am proud that no one got injured, everyone had fun, and Jacob said “It was the Best Day of My Life!”
A Birthday weekend wouldn’t be complete without a family gathering over great food and lots of alcohol…
Phil called me a frustrated sushi chef as he watched me decorate the “Happy Birthday Jacob” whitefish and lox platter for Brunch…
Mimosas, Mimosas and lots of Mimosas please!
And Baba Yaya…
Happy Birthday Slatki, you are and will always be my baby but I love the young man you’re becoming and can’t wait for what’s to come!
LOVE YOU
Mama
