November is National Adoption Month, What Are You Grateful For?
November is National Adoption Month and, more than anything, I need to give Thanks to my precious little man who has brought so much love, laughter & happiness into my life!
He was the missing piece to a life that, at times, felt like one big jigsaw puzzle that just didn’t seem to fit. April 9, 2005 it all came together and now, I can’t imagine my life without him.
The other day I gave him a super sonic mommy kiss and he went to wipe it off…I almost died but was immediately transported back to a time when my great grandma would plant kisses on me and my first reaction was to do the same, wipe them off. So, what did he say when he saw how sad I was to see him do this? “Mama, I’m not wiping them off, I’m just spreading the love around!”
Yup, that about summarizes this kid who I love to pieces and who makes my life complete! I wish for him, above all, to grow into the kind of man his daddy is and, by the looks of things, he is well on his way…
Each year, November is recognized as National Adoption Awareness Month and while all adoption-related issues are important, the particular focus of this month is the adoption of children currently in foster care.
XoXo
