I’ve Got Klout
And it tastes so good!
No idea what I’m talking about? The Klout Score is a number between 1-100 that represents your influence across all of your social media networks. The more influential you are, the higher your Klout Score and mine is 62 baby!
Klout analyses all of the social networks you authorize to connect with and the latest average Klout Score is 40. Those with Klout Scores 50+ are pretty much rocking the social media world with regard to engagement and influence. Users with a score of 63 are in the top 5% of all users…almost there!
So who cares you ask? Aah, my friends, the benefits of a high Klout score are “Klout Perks” which are promotions / merchandise / products / premiers that companies send “Influencers” to try before all others with the goal of getting them to try /like / share with their social circle.

If you tried it and your score is low, there are a few things you can do fairly easily to grow it.
Connect all of your social networks -Simply put, if Klout doesn’t know where to look, it’s not going to look there.
Connect to the right communities -Your community is the life blood for your social networking and it’s essential that it’s full of people who are actually interested in what you have to say.
Don’t be boring – Yeah, I know, I said it but it could simply be that what you’re saying isn’t engaging anyone because it just isn’t engaging. Have conversations and engage to build your networks. It’s social media afterall so be social!
The best way to increase your Klout Score is to create content that people want to share and respond to. The more that others engage with your content through retweets, mentions, likes, comments, +1s, etc, the higher your Score will be. Asking questions or posting content that encourages responses / engagement is a great way to build your Score so here goes, how cute and funny is this kid?
