Great Ideas Come in Small Packages

.One of my neighbors at the shore has this cute little library in front of their house. At first, I thought ‘what a brilliant idea, I’m going to do the same & put some of our gently used books to good use.’ So, I stopped over to check it out and here’s what I found.

As it turn out, they’re not as brilliant as I thought &, the little library is is exactly what it looks like but, it’s not the brainchild of said neighbor but one of Todd H. Bol who built the very first one in 2009. He then founded a nonprofit, LittleFreeLibrary.org with the goal of inspiring readers and strengthening communities.

Here’s more on this great organization that ‘inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world.’

If you want to start a Little Free Library book exchange, go here to join the Little Free Library Sharing Network—now more than 70,000 Little Free Libraries strong! I for one have been inspired but maybe will start small by contributing to & borrowing first.
