The Dead Rabbit
Is in my old neighborhood in New York City and, after spending the day at a conference listening to back to back presentations, I was more than ready to finally take a drink at what Forbes magazine named the “Worlds Best Bar”
The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog scored the Top Spot at the 9th Annual Spirited Awards and from my experience, it’s totally worthy.
Tonight, we hosted a private event in the Occasional room which is on the top floor of the three-level space that includes a taproom and a communal punch-serving Parlour.
On the menu, baby lamb chops, jumbo shrimp and sliders to name a few.
The space is dark, sexy and eclectic…
and the cocktail and whisky selection is
top notch…
I’m guessing that the 5:30 crowds that had gathered inside and the line out the door were in recognition of the two major titles it recently won at the 9th annual Tales of the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards: “World’s Best Bar” and “World’s Best Cocktail Menu.”
Basically, cofounders Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry—along with head bartender Jillian Vose—nabbed two out of five accolades listed under Spirited’s “Overall Categories.”
But for those who follow the cocktail scene, the news is no surprise. Dead Rabbit came in second at last year’s World’s 50 Best Bars, which is organized by Drinks International.
I thought that the space, the specialty cocktails, and the food were outstanding and suggest that you add
Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog to your Bar Hit List promto!
Cheers and Good Night!
