Welcome to the Neighborhood Bloomingdale’s

Back in January, Condé Nast Traveler named Philadelphia the #2 best shopping city in the world.  To put that in perspective, Barcelona came in at #1 and New York last, at number 24.
If you read my blog then you know that I’m a fan of my hometown of Philadelphia but no way no how are we leaders in this category especially, with the likes of Hong Kong, Rome and Paris.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the buzz and can attest that the city has transformed since I moved here 16 years ago from New York but, it still has a ways to go.
Today, we got a bit closer to holding our rank with the opening of the Bloomingdale’s Outlet at Liberty Place.
No, it’s not the flagship store but still, a nice addition to the developing Chestnut Street.
My shopping senses must’ve been tingling because I walked by and decided to take the escalator up to check in on the store’s progress.
To my surprise, I walked in on the Grand Opening!
Not only that but today through Monday, they are giving shoppers the chance to scratch and win 15%-50% off the total purchase.

I scratched off a wimpy 20% which I applied to a black leather blaser.

Happy to support the budding Philadelphia fashion scene and will be back tomorrow for another shot at 50%…have my eye on an early NYE present!
