Once In A Blue Moon
Dinner turns out so outstanding that I think to myself…well, maybe out loud, Yeah, a restaurant with my name would be pretty perfect!
Last night was one of those nights.
We paid a visit to the Asian Market and picked up fresh squid, clams, shrimp and a whole sea bass for grilling. The experience brought me back to our trip to China where on the streets of Beijing, one can buy anything from scorpion on a stick to pork dumpings.
It was my first attempt at cleaning squid and while it was no small feat…
once cut, cleaned, seasoned and grilled
it was simply delicious.
Added to a bed of grilled Romaine lettuce along with grilled shrimp and sprinkled with a bit of lemon & Voilà!
One of the best meals to come out of our amateur little kitchen this Summer.
Oh and the clams, how could I forget the clams!? Grilled to perfection and buttery delicious.
Maybe the Blue Moon had something to do with it?
Or maybe it was the tequila…it’s almost always the tequila!
Yummy!
