Not Your Average Monday
Today, my friends, was no ordinary Monday.
What would you consider to be better than attending an all day conference following a weekend of nonstop partying in Miami?
A private after hours event at Bathtub Gin, a coffee shop comme burlesque club in Manhattan of course!
We arrived on the early side and entered the unassuming Stone Street Coffee Company for what promised to be a very unique experience.
A red light glowing inside the café should’ve been a clue that there was more than just coffee inside this tiny storefront.
We were led inside where, behind an innocuous door, Bathtub Gin emerged as a Prohibition-era speakeasy with a cocktail list predating the bathtub brewing decade.
Upon entering, we were treated to wine and champagne that slowly morphed into innovative prohibition era gin cocktails.
We grabbed plates of modern fusion items including truffle mushroom ricotta gnocchi, tuna tartare tacos, lamb chops and more and sank into one of the many plush, damask banquettes until the show began.
A few drinks and a lot of networking and it was time to call it a nignt.
Check it out during the day for delicious coffee and at night for daring burlesque.
An interesting venue choice for an industry event to say the least but I’m not complaining!
