I Confess

I love IKEA and have been an “IKEA hacker” for as long as I can remember. Imagine my surprise when I discovered the multitude of sites and blogs dedicated to just that!
We’ve hacked everything from Beds and Headboards to China Cabinets and Shelves, and not only is it fun but you also get to be creative and get exactly what you want often, for a quarter of the price.

Now, working on a home office and need a desk so naturally, thought IKEA  may be a good place to start for ideas.
Today’s trip wasn’t as successful as I had hoped but I do like these new modern copper chandeliers…but digress.

Looking for a mix of modern / deco and have probably searched dozen of websites and stores so far; this is the problem with having too many choices.  All I know for sure is that I want…I need…a Ghost chair.

Designed by Phillippe Starck, the Ghost chair is transparent and colored polycarbonate in the Louis XV style.
I love the baroque inspired design and thinking it will look awesome in the bedroom window.

Louis Ghost is the most daring example in the world of injected polycarbonate in a single mold which could explain the price…ouch!

Once I have the Ghost chair, the desk -in my opinion- will be secondary but I have to admit, I do love the search.
