Happy New Year!

Now that I’m up and recovered from last night’s Russian revelry, wanted to wish you all a 2016 full of love, great health and lots of adventure.

Based on how we bought in the new year, I have a feeling that 2016, the year of the fire monkey, is going to be a great one!





While most of the world celebrates New Year on December 31st, 2/8/16 begins the year of the fire monkey and the key colors according to the feng shui 5-element system are red and shades of red.

To connect to the energy of the fire monkey via the fire element and it’s color, all you have to do is add a little red to your life.
Red not your color?
Pantone colors of the year are rose quartz and serenity. These colors symbolise and embody key qualities the experts say we’ll need in 2016 (after quite a turbulent 2015): balance, calmness, wellness and tranquility.  Mindfulness and well-being are huge trends and these colours offer much needed reassurance and security.  When combined together, rose quartz and serenity transcend duality and balance a warmer embracing rose with the cooler tranquil blue, representing connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace. Rose quartz is a good alternative to red and offers a good balance for the fire monkey’s character.
Precisely why I kicked off the year with rosé mimosas, and raspberries!
