Back To The Asian Market
We went and this time, I explored beyond the seafood section to give you a better view of the far East in South Jersey.
Walking Asia Market in Pleasantville, NJ and marveling at the array of products from pig snout and cow tongue to fun flavored mochi and Chinese lanterns, got me thinking. This is probably how most non-Russians feel when they visit one of our supermarkets. It’s a bit overwhelming and a lot exciting to discover new foods and cultures especially, when they are so different from your own.
We picked up a few random items to try…can you tell I love coconut?
and went back to the seafood section for lobster, clams, shrimp and calamari
Next time, coming back for the crabs.
The whole fish again.
And maybe going to give the whole eel a try…maybe…
English is definitely their second language so be prepared to do a lot of gesturing, smiling and nodding.
Be prepared for a Far East Asian adventure.
