Paris…I mean PIFA Street Fair

To help me transition from the Parisian lifestyle back to that of a Philadelphian, PIFA will transform the Avenue of the Arts into a Parisian carnival boulevard with costumed street-food vendors, Ferris wheels, trampoline performances, and a manicured children’s garden. There will be a flash mob organized and choreographed by Kate Watson-Wallace that I may take part in…check out the choreography here and join in if you dare!

But what is sure to steal the spotlight is a performance by La Compagnie Transe Express who will perform 100 feet above Broad Street at 7:30pm.

Founded in 1982, Transe Express create magical and imaginative large-scale shows in unconventional spaces. Their productions are unique adventures that transform cities and invite the public to escape their everyday reality.

The team is made up of 100 actors, acrobats, bell ringers, dancers, percussionists, singers, string quartets, welders, technicians, forgers and many others; a motley crew that realizes their ephemeral creations and repertoire shows, be they close-act theatre, aerial or roving spectacles.

Check out the full schedule of events here http://pifa.org/ and hope to see you at the fair that will run on Broad Street, between Chestnut and Lombard Streets today from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Talk to me, I would love to hear from you!
